Area, Espai de Dansa i Creació inicia con este primer  DanceMeetingPoint  un programa de encuentros con diferentes escuelas internacionales de formación profesional en danza contemporánea donde a través de clases y talleres impartidos por profesores residentes se podrá conocer de cerca sus programas de formación y sus líneas de trabajo.

Este DanceMeetingPoint  tiene dos propósitos.
Uno es crear un punto de encuentro entre Area y Balettakademien y dar a conocer estas escuelas a todos los alumnos que quieran seguir ampliando su formación  profesional.  También se dará a conocer las ofertas culturales y profesionales de  Barcelona y Estocolmo.
Otro punto importante será crear vínculos entre los alumnos y las ciudades, abriendo nuevas posibilidades para un futuro profesional.

Serán cinco días de trabajo intensivo  tanto en las clases técnicas como en los talleres. También habrá un espacio para compartir improvisaciones, mostrar trabajos propios y espacio para hablar e intercambiar información.

Habrá dos noches para compartir improvisaciones con todo el material que los alumnos habrán trabajado en las clases, pero de forma más abierta y creativa. Será solo para los participantes.

Habrá una noche para presentar trabajos personales acabados o en proceso abierta al público. Para esta presentación los alumnos tendrán espacio de ensayo durante los días previos. Las piezas cortas no podrán durar más de 5 minutos.
La muestra de piezas cortas da la posibilidad de conocer más de cerca a los participantes y pueda abrir espacio a futuras colaboraciones y también a posibles programaciones tanto en Area como en Balettakademien u otros espacios de Barcelona o Estocolmo.
El último día todos los participantes compartirán con el público el resultado de este  primer encuentro Area/Barcelona-Balettakademien/Stockholm DanceMeetingPoint con una presentación de los talleres.
 
Este encuentro está pensado para alumnos de nivel intermedio-avanzado con base de danza contemporánea.



PROGRAMA
​

Las clases empezaran a las 9:30h de la mañana y Area estará abierta desde las 8:45h.
De 13:15h a 14h habrá una pausa para comer.
La última clase acaba a las 17:45h.
A partir de ese horario hay espacio disponible para que los participantes que vayan a mostrar piezas cortas puedan ensayar.

El martes y jueves de 20h a 22h habrá un ImproMeeting cada uno coordinado por uno de los profesores. Será solo para los participantes.
El miércoles habrá la muestra de piezas cortas de los participantes. Será abierto al público.
El viernes se hará una muestra abierta al público de los procesos creativos realizados.


Cocina
En Area disponemos de cocina con  nevera y microondas y horno para quien quiera traerse la comida y calentarla allí.
También hay utensilios para poder prepara ensaladas comunitarias.
Los participantes disponen de agua, infusiones, café  y galletas de forma gratuita.

Area dispone de WIFI


Material
Los participantes pueden dejar durante la semana sus cosas en Area  tanto la ropa de clase, como comida o utensilios.


Estancia
Cerca de Area hay dos albergues con precios económicos.
Hay a disposición una lista de alumnos que alquilan habitaciones.
También habrá ofertas de intercambio. Alumnos de aquí acogerán a alumnos de fuera a cambio de estancia cuando ellos viajen a sus ciudades.

Area, Espai de Dansa i Creació begins with this first DanceMeetingPoint a program of meetings with different international contemporary dance schools with a professional training. In each meeting we will have the opportunity to learn about their training programs and working lines through the classes and workshops taught by their teachers. 

​

This DanceMeetingPoint  has two purposes.
One is to create a meeting point between Area and Balettakademien and introduce these schools to all the students who wish to go further with their professional training. We will led know also the cultural and professional offers of Barcelona and Stockholm.
Another important point is to create links between students and the cities, opening new possibilities for a future career.

​

It will be five days of intensive work in both technical classes and workshops. There will be also space to share improvisations, show own work and space to talk and exchange information.

​

There will be two nights where to share improvisations with all the material the students have worked in the classroom, but more openly and creative. It will be only for the participants.

There will be one night to show personal work finished or in process open to the public. For this presentation, students will have rehearsal space during the previous days. The short pieces cannot be longer than 5 minutes.
The performance of short pieces gives the possibility to learn more about the participants and can open space for future collaboration and possible performences in Balettakademien and Area and in other spaces in Barcelona or Stockholm.

The last day all the participants will share with the public the performance results of the two workshops of this first meeting Area/Barcelona-Balettakademien / Stockholm DanceMeetingPoint.

This meeting is thought for students of upper-intermediate level with a ground in contemporary dance.

PROGRAM
​

Classes will begin at 9:30 am and Area will be open from 8:45 pm.

Kitchen
In Area we have kitchenette with fridge and microwave and oven for those who want to eat there and brought food and warm it.
There are also tools to prepare community salads if we want.
Participants have water, tea, coffee and biscuits for free.

Material
Participants can leave their stuff during the week in Area class, such as  class clothes, food or utensils.

Where to stay
Next to Area there are two economical hostels.
There is a list of students that has a room to rent.
There will be also exchange offers. Students here will welcome students from abroad to stay by them in exchange as they travel to their cities.
